In this lesson, we will learn data distribution and shape. We will understand distribution, histogram, normal distribution, skewness, kurtosis, outliers, and why data shape matters in statistical analysis through practical examples. ## Lesson objective In this lesson, we will learn data distribution and shape. In the previous lesson, we covered measures of dispersion. We learned range, variance, standard deviation, IQR, and coefficient of variation. We understood that average alone is not enough to explain data. We also need to see how spread out and variable the data is. Now we will look at the overall shape of data. Data distribution shows how values are distributed.
